Q: Which phones is 4Dscan compatible with?
A: It’s difficult to say exactly which android phones it works on, cause there are so many individual hard- and software settings. Officially 4Dscan should work for from android 4.0+ but it works on many older phones too. Then it’s easier with iPhone – here it works from iPhone 4S and up.
Q: Why does 4Dscan not function correctly?
A: Try holding your device at a different distance to the object.
You can also slowly move or flip either your mobile phone or the postcard from side to side.
If your camera does not focus scanning, move it to focus elsewhere and scan again.
If 4Dscan does not start up correctly or stop operating, restart the app – if necessary repeat.
Please also make sure that:
– your device is connected to the internet
– there is enough light to scan (click the bulb icon to enable extra light)
– avoid strong reflections and shadows
– your camera lens on your device is clean
– you are scanning a 4Dscan prepared object
– there is enough power and memory on your device
Q: 4Dscan closes down, or stops funktioning, it used to work, what is wrong?
A: If you have scanned a lot of cards in a row, the phone can get ‘tired’/overheated.
Just give your phone a short break (30 sek. or so) and restart 4Dscan.
Q: Does 4Dscan works on tablets too?
A: 4Dscan is mainly made for mobile phones, but it works on most tablets too.

Q: Is it possible to use 4Dscan on customized solutions?
A: Yes, and it can also work on existing printed matters (doesn’t have to be 3D).
